Bismillah Al- Rahmaan Al-Raheem

“When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every supplicant when he calleth upon me: Let them also, with a will, Listen to My call, and believe in Me: That they may walk in the right way.”  — 2.186

O Allah! I am Your slave, the son of Your slave, the son of Your maidservant, my forelock is in Your Hand, Your command over me is ever executed and Your decree over me is just. I as You by every name belonging to You, which You have named Yourself with, or which You have revealed in Your Book, or which You have taught to any of Your creation, or which You have perserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quraan the life of my heart and the light of my chest, and a departure for my sorrow and a release for my anxiety,”- but Allah will take away his distress and grief, and replace it with ease.” He was asked,: O Messanger of Allah, should we not learn it?” He said, “Of course, whoever hears it should learn it.”

Study Tips:

1. Do the prayers at their correct times.

2. Pray a 2 rakat nafl prior to exam

3. Say بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ (In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Kind) – before commencing the exam – indeed before anything that you do.

5. Recite some du’as (like the ones listed above), and keep in constant dhikrullah (i.e. the daily dhikrs when waking, dressing, eating, sleeping, etc)

6. Come home and pray 2 rakat nafl after the exam for shukr (offer thanks to Allah) for granting you the strength and persistence and ability to complete the exam and accomplish goals inshaAllah

7. Increase in your reading and listening of the Qur’an and performing more ibadah (worship) (i.e. nafilah (voluntary) prayers and deeds). Keep away from bad actions and deeds – Follow up a bad deed with a good deed, to cancel it out.

8. Revise hard!!!

Good luck with finals! I’m taking my only two finals this semester on tuesday and have been studying and making du’a like crazy lol. Tuesday it is all over though. Are any of you taking finals?
